Welcome back to another episode of Sativa Talk Podcast where we like to have blunt conversations. We like to talk about cannabis, of course, whether you are a vet, newbie, or just curious, we got you covered and we get into some lifestyle and entrepreneurship as well. My name is Angie T, your host, and I have our honorable co-host here, Ms. Dre Sherlock Glacier. How are you feeling today? I'm feeling good. Yeah, thanks. Thanks for being here. Thanks for having me. We are actually celebrating episode 20. Now, the number 20 is a master number, which means it carries a lot of power and potential. So the number 20 is also known as the law of attraction number. This is because it symbolizes new beginnings abundance and manifestations. It can also represent relationships, teamwork, companionship, coexistence, and diplomacy. Did I say that right? Diplomacy. Okay thank you. That's that's why you need friends like that. Run that by and Wesley you keep that because it's a learning tool for all of us. So being in that energy of 20 it being a mass number in the teamwork I think that signifies a lot of what happened this past weekend. So we hosted the NAACP Jubilee down in the art district right in front of the art house and it was a lot of well any festival any event that you have it's gonna need cohesiveness it's gonna need teamwork and I think that it was a great example of that oh yeah definitely multiple teams also people all working together give me more adress I'm sorry a couple more words I was actually hooked on the fact that you were talking about the 20 thing. Okay. And just the night before last, I was trying to find something to watch on TV. And I was like, I'm gonna watch the secret. Have you watched the secret? Long ago? Yeah. And I was like, I just want to dibble and dabble in that manifestation magic and rewatch that and then here we are. You're like the number 20 is all about what do they say? They talked about I don't remember. It's the documentary about the law of attraction literally that and just talking about how thoughts become things and Just what you focus on you create more of and so That was just really in alignment with what you were saying about the number. Oh, just the meaning of number 20. Yeah, okay I was like, what did they say about 20? No, I was owned into okay Okay, but yeah, NAACP Jubilee was pretty darn cool. Thanks again, Angie, for having me come on to co-host it with you. That was a good time. But yeah, it was really big to see just how all of the different groups had their own individual teams and then the NAACP themselves just working the entire event. And then the two of us being a team working that event as well I mean when the wind was winding like Hurricane Katrina we went in there and we tag-teamed those really loud there were these really really loud tablecloths they had in double-a Cp I don't do that next year okay I get where they were I get to the red color that I get it was like foil yeah tight it was material and when the wind got under the foil the elder we couldn't hear anything he was saying and then I'm going in a part we dated a little worse because we were trying to I was trying to rip it off in the middle of the speech and it's like we're trying to make it better but it's got to get worse for us you know it gets worse before it gets better but that's exactly how that happened yeah the wind was hold that was crazy you know people were trying to tag team holding them down you know you see people just holding on to their tents yeah not to the hats in there the wind was doing its thing but eventually it definitely calmed down I am grateful that the Sun was blocked from us as well this event was from 5 to 10 and so we did not get any direct Sun and so a nice shaded alley and the first time I've been in the alley and I was like this is nice we were not in the alley. We were in the street. That was the street. Okay. Wow. It felt like an alley.

0:04:52
What?

0:04:53
It's just because it's a side road. Not that it felt like. It's an actual street. Okay. You're right. It was. Wow. You're right. Yeah. Wow. Not in the alley. We weren't in an alley. But we had the shade from the buildings. Good grief. It was in an alley. You're right. But it was nice. We had some dance teams come and y'all know how to get my little tic-tocs in. So cute. I think it was Empire dance group. Of course we had some singing. We passed out tambourines. Angie. My favorite part. I'm gonna admit this. On my way home I had church with the tambourine up all the way home. I put the tambourine on my altar. I'm just saying the lady with the tambourine, thank you. My ancestors, thank you. We get down in the morning. I'm playing the tambourine now. Yes, that's what it felt so perfect for and I didn't register until after I got it and you know we have some people come in they were singing some gospel music as well and so I was like oh yeah I miss this this is my thing like I'm feeling something from reliving this moment I'm like okay all right this is the message okay this is what I need to continue to do so you got right to it I love to see it I love it glad it was dark because if people see me in my car they're like oh she got you and caught the coast she's called the ghost saying that's hammering I love it one lady she was like can I get three more? I need some for my grandkids. And they gonna hate that tamarind but they gonna love it. Yes. And it's gonna be a thing. So we are gonna be around for a while. Okay sorry we just went off on the tangent. But when's the last time you shook a tamarind? Just let it some maracas. Seal your soul. But I do want to give a thanks to our sponsors the Business Entertainment West. They are in the business of providing entertainment on the West Coast. You can find them on Instagram at bizentwest underscore Vegas and tell them thank you for bringing NGT back to the airwaves. Thanks y'all. Before we get into some things I do want to give some updates in regards to what's going on in the weed industry here in Las Vegas. As you guys know or maybe you've heard the Nevada governor actually signed a bill cannabis bill to increase the possession limits and remove the industry barriers to get inside of the marijuana industry. So right now, where the previous limit was one ounce, it was increased to 2.5 ounces. The amount of cannabis concentrates that adults can possess is also being doubled from 1 eighth to an ounce to one quarter of an ounce. So So these are things you definitely want to be mindful of because I know that even in the dispensaries it was a it was kind of tricky trying to keep track of how much someone came in and purchased so they didn't come back and purchase over that limit because it was up to the dispensary to keep track of that. If the customer found out away maybe they came during first shift and came back during third shift it is your due diligence to make sure that you did not steal him or that person more than an ounce in a 24-hour period however it's done on top of everything else you got to do so a lot of but they actually they find a a button there I want to say it was like 20,000 it was like a ridiculous amount yeah but today got that exactly they'll find the buttender and the dispensary. So definitely want to be on the lookout for that. Now they also added in the bill the fee for the licensing applications and renewals. It will be reduced. So instead of a million, $999.99. That's exactly how that's going to go. Okay, cool. Yeah okay cool yes and so um so I mean it's a step for us for us regular folk out here in the world just trying to make it so uh that's all I got for you guys and in regards to the news I know that the CCB is going to be having more meetings and talking about new updates and um the consumption lounge license I believe they had actually issued out their first marijuana consumption like a conditional license so they're getting it together to see what it looked like a lot of these dispensaries are already ahead of the curve they grandfathered in really they just had to pay a fee and they can start building and whatnot I believe they were trying to change the regulations in regards to the the air ventilators that are needed inside of each establishment because even the dispensaries are like, okay, do we need a ventilation over each area where they smoking? Is it really necessary? People are hot boxing every single day.

0:09:48
Every day.

0:09:49
Because if you come to a consumption lounge, you're pretty sure you're here to consume, right? I don't know. So they're asking for that to be a little bit more lax, too. And the wording that they use for that is you know well you know make it easier for the social equity people let them get a chance oh they're so kind so to think of the socially equitable people so nice right oh my gosh yeah saints so there's that now Dresha you sent me a couple that just kind of behooved me the main one was the Shaq one so as we know well as I mean you should for the most part know Shaq and Shani Shani is over it was over basketball wise right that she kind of started that brand so they've been divorced for a while and she's actually remarried. And he makes the comment, she is still his wife.

0:10:56
How that work?

0:10:57
Ties, having a tie, a soul tie to a person that just can't let go. That, you know, I can speak from personal experience of being with someone for an extended period of time. And then, you know, maybe you end on good terms or not so good terms or whatever but it's still cordial there for some reason they do feel entitled to to you to your body your energy your time your space it's like they want to continue the experience of before without actually being in that experience. So yeah I think that's actually a really common thing that people just feel like oh well once you with me you always with me I always have access to you and and you know what because I'm not I mean sometimes sometimes it's one way sometimes like oh baby I moved on I got me a you know a new spouse like what are you even thinking? And then sometime there's a piece of you that's like, yeah, you're right, we locked in forever, right? I can't pass judgment because the person that I felt like I experienced that with, death is what tore us apart. I didn't make it to the phase of, you know, moving on and like for real this time, like I didn't have that. So if you are experiencing that and going through that, more power to you. I can't say either way. There's no judgment here.

0:12:31
Yeah.

0:12:31
But it seems empowering, on those. You know, no judgment. I just, I don't know. I think for me, I've always kind of had this mindset. I don't really like to go backwards. I always say like, I've never had a type like I'm dating somebody I'm learning who they are and as we go and then I I never had a list like this is my list of requirements for my person whereas I find that in my in my journey of dating and romance each person that I've been with for whatever reason that it's not anything today, I learned what it was that I did and what I didn't like about that experience, that relationship. And now I know that the person that I've now become, you know, who I'm with now, it's like, okay, you actually have the vast majority of the positive qualities that I appreciated in my past partners and you have none or yeah no I say none none of the qualities that I did not appreciate in those partners and so yeah I think for me it's just I can be very black or white so it's like either I'm rocking with you or I'm not. What's your sign again? I'm Sagittarius. Okay. But my Virgo is in Capricorn and so Capricorn is very logical so I'm kind of like logical in love I'm like okay if I like you we vibe seems to be working cool beans if we're not now and see I'm all I'll be all in the gray area okay relaxing with the martini now we were you had speaking of going back and spinning the block now I did see this post about Q-tip right here posted on Instagram I'm sorry Twitter yeah come on now he's such a vibrant thing I know yeah what you saying like that for what the opposite I'm not gonna hold you Q-Tip moved on to the upper room. I saw you went to the upper room.

0:14:52
Now who told you that? I'm so sorry.

0:14:54
I don't know man.

0:14:55
I'm sorry Q. Okay.

0:14:57
Well, he had actually posted on Twitter that he was, that there was a girl he went to high school with, listed her name and he said that, you know, they went to the Prince concert in the ninth grade. And he said, message me Pam. I want to know where you are. I love to know you. No, I'm sorry. I love to know where you are I think of you often Wow it's cute right mm-hmm because Twitter did their thing and they actually found her Wow yeah she married you guys know life what's that well they don't we didn't get the update on if she was single or not but the picture miss Pam is still out here in you know I'm probably Pam looking good okay okay somebody says she looked like a single Checkerboard wig, but it's you know, she old school Yeah, I can see it yeah, that's exactly what the dark blue lipstick You know miss Pam still looking good. So it just goes back to you know Experiencing someone dating someone maybe that just wasn't the time right how you can still leave an impression on a person for years because he went back to ninth grade yeah just cute I don't know how old he is but Dre thought he was dead I'm sorry man oh he's it's funny that we've been talking about this because I was literally just reminding my mom I'm like mom you remember that time I got left at Kings the man and you guys had I had my little sweetheart basically we went on a church trip everybody know what church trips you like anyway went on a church trip with and he and I were just so enthralled with each other that we got left at Kings of Man my parents had to come and pick us up and drive us home well I was on punishment for the rest of that summer and I never saw him again until maybe four or five years ago. We hung out for a bit and I realized now this is it's time has changed and I've moved away from my hometown twice but sometimes in those instances I just wonder if it's so far back if your now equates like it did back then you know that's definitely so you know I believe in keeping it open for all types of love I definitely rekindled with a person that I may have talked to in the past and been like oh what what what was I thinking like what did I see I was going through something so that happens too but I brought the Q-tip story to think to just kind of bring to the forefront Baby, it ain't easy for nobody that it ain't easy for me and it needs for women and it needs for them They whatever you you know, you know Hey, it ain't because if this man is well in his 50s, I'm gonna give him credit. I'm gonna say 50s It's reaching back now to high school ninth grade, bae. He don't ran through him. It's tough. I've been around the world and I. He's 63. Oh he's 53. Okay. Thank you Wesley. Thanks Wes. See I felt it. I knew he was in the city somewhere. But 53 old man is reaching out to a ninth grade fling that he went to a Prince concert with. That is saying something. So just stay strong if you're out there dating in the world. Next story so I know that you know there may be some uh some more updates before this is actually broadcasted but the submarine the whole situation right to pay 250,000 for a ticket to go inside of this this I call it a submarine but it's not it didn't even look like it had no propellers on it how you gonna get back we need to cue in some mysterious conspiracy music here this is my thought it's an insurance scam because why would you get in that okay maybe you just wanted to fake your dad. Maybe that's five people. Yeah, all of us all of them Are they all millionaires? Gotta be for 250 K. Okay. So here's what I think right? So the fact that the price point and it wasn't actually marketed to tourists Mm-hmm. The person who was navigating this this is a man who seeks thrills in his life. So he holds a couple Guinness World Records. One is like for most millionaires murdered traveling the world. I'm sorry. Go ahead. I'm so sorry. One is for him being able to travel. It's like from one post to another around or something like that the earth. Right. I think he did it in like 36 hours. He holds that record. Then he also was one of a couple years ago, Jeff Bezos went out of space, remember, and he took like five or six people. Well, he was manning that as well. So he seeks those types of thrills. So in he had already been down to the Titanic, he had done that trip a couple times already before they went on, right. So his past experience tells me that, like I said, he's a thrill seeker and you pretty much did everything you needed to do so if you check out today you are going with no regrets so you have to be mindful if that's the type of person that you're gonna go anywhere with I don't care Taco Bell, church wherever you're going with this person you need to understand that he's down for whatever. For whatever. And the fact that he go down to? Yeah, he was he was the one that had it. Oh, and he was using the little $30 Amazon game controller game controller thing Yeah, you can't charge me 25k and you got this $9. I think they said it was $30 But no, that's what I was thinking. It's really unfortunate So I'm hoping that they can you know, definitely locate the submarine, but it was just crazy just getting some of the backstories of some of the people that were there Especially like I said the the person who was manning it the captain I guess I didn't say captain originally because it's not a ship so Well, yeah, so I'm hoping do they call him a skipper. I think on a submarine. It's not a skipper Oh the person in charge is a skipper. Mm-hmm I would like to know where the origin of that is. I have a wealth of unnecessary knowledge. I love it. I love how, see you're the type of person, like you can, somebody can tell you something, just random facts, right? And you store it in your random facts cabinet. Don't ask me what I came in here to do. Me? Like when I walk in the door, what did I come in here for? I don't know. It goes in one ear, it don't even make it through, it bounces off a ear, and I don't even know what did you say? So, yin and yang. We are definitely balancing each other out. There was another story that you had mentioned about Juanita. See, I just was about to go back to church because I got the tambourine and then Juanita had to do what she did. Well, now I'm not understanding this. She was, she's a pastor? Do you know who Juanita Bynum is? Okay, but I grew up in church. Let me tell y'all. Juanita Bynum is this. She's a, she's a minister. She wrote a lot of books. Oh, okay. She's gonna be hating on Beyonce too. She be hating on Beyonce. See? Spirit of... I ain't gonna talk about it. Anyway, there is a sermon. It shows her in the church and she's saying, the Holy this Holy Spirit has told me that 21 of y'all are gonna give a thousand dollars right now and then people actually start getting up and walking they literally start walking up to the front to give $8,000 it was this one dude he look like he just finished slinging dope I said Wow can I say that we're gonna run that by Wesley okay sorry well yeah look like he was doing extracurricular activities on the side of the rules okay certain materials anyway he was like I'm gonna give this to one dollar I'm trying to get that good karma that blessing how she said you're not gonna get that promotion you know get that thing you want unless you sacrifice this thousand dollars and if you think if she talking to me it's because you got it in your bank account you got it on your credit card. Nope. Yes. I said how you gonna tell people to go in debt? Jesus. I'm like I don't think God really I don't think God really is concerned like that. That's wrong. To tell people to give a thousand dollars. Like it's just wrong man. It's I feel like that's a reverse psychology a little bit right because you maybe there's an event that they're trying to put on and maybe they need a couple of extra books. She needed that check of maybe you know okay I wasn't saying it was going directly to her. I am. Okay. I'm sorry. Yeah that right there that does it that that'll do that'll do it that'll do it for me. So yeah I don't know it just that didn't sit right with me um and there's a comedian that actually posted it he kind of did like a stitch with it and he said he's like well I think God is asking things of you that money can't buy and I agree with that hmm you know but we also have to be mindful in order to run an establishment like a church it has to receive oh yeah um donations so there's a balance that needs to be there. Oh gosh, how was your Father's Day? Father's Day, I was doing the jubilee. Oh yeah, well I mean did you,

0:24:57
what did you get?

0:24:58
Did you get anybody, anything for Father's Day? I got them well wishes. My dad is an ancestor now so paid homage to him. Your siblings don't have any kids? Actually well I did tell my brother happy Father's Day but his child was stillborn so so yeah none of us have kids my mom is the matriarch and she's still some type of way but I tell him like mom I was like you know I saw you got like 15 grandkids. Tina got about 15. You could just use some of them kids. It's a bunch of them. They all need love. That's what my mama do. She just go and be the church mama. She take all the kids from the church. Hey, dude, you got a date. They need it. Did you see the recent video with Dr. Umar on that show with those guys. A lot of times people talk trash about Umar, but he's spot on with that. And the young men were like, and I've watched their show, and I find that a lot of times they're kind of like, they bring on the bottom of the barrel women onto their show to kind of show ridiculousness of what they think all women want but he asked you know what are you doing in the community for these young boys and they're like you know mentor and I'm listening to how you ain't mentoring nobody. You watched your nephew a couple times. But that's it. Yeah. Okay. Thank you Wesley. We got the cue to get out of here. I do want to mention this crazy story that I just saw Tina Turner's adoptive son Mike Jr. was actually arrested for substance possession that he tried to eat. So you want to make sure that when you pour into the next generation. Isn't that something to chew on? Wait I'm sorry Wes we about to get up out of here. He was going to eat the substance? He did. He tried to. Yeah okay okay. Well everybody's got a journey y'all. It's either that or jail. So go ahead and give us your social media how to find you. You know so I switched up my Instagram y'all. It's now Dre Sher in Vegas. So that's D-R-E-C-H-I-R in Vegas. That's I-N Vegas. Alright. Yep. Okay, I want to thank you again to the business Entertainment West for the sponsorship.
