Hey, hello and welcome back to another episode of sativa talk podcast where we have blunt conversations. We like to talk about cannabis, of course, whether you are a vet newbie or just curious, we got you covered. And we'll get into some lifestyle and entrepreneurship as well. We are celebrating Episode Number 12. Try to give a little extra something this time. The number 12, the significant, represents significant changes happening in your life. And you are being called to rise to your full potential. The number 12 is a reminder that you have all the tools and resources you need for a fresh start. Positive changes are being made in your life and new opportunities will arise in the near future because your hard work is paying off. So shout out to episode 12. That's kind of perfect as we bring in the spring equinox and the new year. So and of course, I have Miss, of course, my OG here, Miss Nikki here, my tic tac. Mom, how are you feeling today? I'm feeling pretty good. So now, you know, I kind of broke down the numerology of the number 12. How does that? How does that connect to you? Oh, yeah, your positive changes, you know, the year to get it going. 12 can be used for a lot of things. Oh, snap 12, as in 12 months in a year. Yeah, okay. I took a second for it to land but
0:02:08
Close the people.
0:02:10
Close the people I said.
0:02:12
You're right. It definitely I personally feel like it is a lot of significant changes happening in my personal life, my career finances everything is kind of just changing and so learning to go with the ebb and flow of life and not really Marrying a particular outcome or how how I'm gonna get to the outcome that I want rather. Okay Sometimes you know you say okay All I gotta do is do this this this and this and God be like yeah, but you're gonna go through this that way Yes, you're gonna do it my way. Uh-huh because you need to learn about six seven thousand more lessons on the way to this goal so I definitely um yeah. 12 is a good number I may put that in my I may put that good number on the lottery. Okay. You know what I still owe you some lottery tickets from you. Yeah well I wouldn't I wouldn't grab some but I'm due for more I'm due for more so those are not done yet so. Okay. I still have a chance. All right man shout out to everybody that drops a prim and gets those lottery tickets. And then before we get started, I do want to give a shout out to my sponsor, the business entertainment West, they are in the business of providing entertainment on the West Coast. You can find them on Instagram at biz and t West underscore Vegas, and tell them thank you for bringing energy back to the airwaves. Now as the TV talk podcast format, let's talk a little bit about cannabis. What have you been? What have you been much known here lately?
0:03:44
Specific, you know, what exactly are you saying? So like, like
0:03:49
flavor, so I tried a new one. I want to say it was like a garlic grape. Oh, yeah, it put me to sleep. When I ate everything before I went to sleep. Okay, I don't want it. I don't like that. Was it Indica dominant hybrid? Because even though hybrids is still one is going to be a little bit more. It was very, very, it was very potent. It was very loud. Very loud. My son, you know.
0:04:26
Mm-hmm.
0:04:27
You know.
0:04:28
Yeah.
0:04:29
So it was...
0:04:30
It hit you like an indica.
0:04:31
Yes, it did.
0:04:32
Okay.
0:04:33
Yes, it did. So whatever it was. Yeah. No more.
0:04:36
I don't like that kind of thing.
0:04:37
Uh-huh. I like the sativa. Yeah. Just straight sativa. Yeah, keep me going.
0:04:42
See? Yeah.
0:04:43
Sativa, straight sativa for me gets me a little jittery. It gets me kind of out the loop. I got to pace it. I like, I prefer a hybrid that's Sativa Dominant because it's still that indica in it. Still gives me an ability to kind of take the edge off versus like bringing me all the way up. And now I'm like trying to edit a video, wash the dishes and bake a cake. Absolutely. Yeah. I think because of my age, you know, I'll be 54. So, you know, I'm always ready for the birthday okay go ahead now I'm always tired we doing freaknick for my birthday oh okay we doing all 90s freaknick here okay it's gonna be a private party or is it it's gonna be two days one is one is a day at the club and next one is all green Um, um, a buffet, uh, brunch.
0:05:41
Oh, okay.
0:05:42
All green brunch. Yeah. Okay. I like how you dropping this off four months early. Alright, you know, can't never say you ain't told nobody.
0:05:49
Yeah.
0:05:50
Okay. And you were definitely invited, you know that.
0:05:52
Of course, yeah.
0:05:52
What?
0:05:53
Yeah. Alright.
0:05:54
Everything green.
0:05:54
Okay.
0:05:55
I'll, uh, start shopping now.
0:05:57
Plenty of food.
0:05:58
Mm-hmm.
0:05:58
Goodies.
0:05:59
Okay.
0:06:00
Infused.
0:06:01
Okay. Good to know. Yeah. Um, it needs a lot. Let's see. As far as Las Vegas goes, I feel
0:06:01
like this weather has got us in. We don't know we outside with flip flops, trunks, a sweater. Oh my goodness. hoodie. dress. No undergear. You just go out and then you come back in freezing.
0:06:26
You don't know what to do about it.
0:06:28
You absolutely cannot base it off of when you first get dressed in the morning. Or how I look outside. Can't do that. Absolutely.
0:06:36
Because it was absolutely beautiful out there. Then I went out there and turned right back around.
0:06:41
Right back.
0:06:42
Yeah, so I just wanted to kind of talk a little bit
0:06:46
about the entrepreneurship. I know that you had to kind of take a step back from dancing so much on TikTok. And I know that that has affected you tremendously. We kind of been we gonna cook up a little something, a little something. We're gonna razzle dazzle. A little something. But how have you been able to kind of sustain?
0:07:07
You know, I had to learn how to because I'm due for surgery soon, so I had to just kind of learn how to work the knee around to where it won't be affected. I mean, you won't even know I lift my leg up because I'm so smooth with it, you know what I mean? I just can't get down like I want to. I can't bust a move on me.
0:07:32
I can't twerk in that. You'd be feeling it.
0:07:34
I can't twerk in that.
0:07:35
You'd be feeling it.
0:07:37
Yeah. Pick it up a little bit. But they said once I have the surgery, I have a tear in my meniscus.
0:07:43
I was hit by a driver that was careless. And I got a tear in my meniscus. So they have to repair it. So I don't have to have a full up and down knee replacement surgery type thing. They have to go in on two different spots and just it's like a hangnail. And they said after that I'm gonna be running. Brand new. Oh baby. Okay. I hope they ready for me.
0:08:11
We definitely uh look forward to that. Okay. So as the weather warms and you know we're gonna well single people are gonna be outside just a little bit more. Um I saw this article talking about love language. What would you say? What is your love language?
0:08:31
Let's start there.
0:08:32
My love language is of course, you know, dancing. Dancing, I have a strong love for it. So when I dance, sometimes I can mesmerize a lot of people. And cooking. Cooking is definitely my love language. I can cook you a meal, babe. You already know. That's my love language. And just loving on people. I don't know. I can, I can, I can tell if somebody want to be bothered. I can tell when I want to give a person a hug. I can tell when I shouldn't. I don't know. It's just something in me. It's a God in me. Oh, we're gonna put a pin in
0:09:10
Okay, cuz yeah, I got yeah. Um, but okay, so I would say my love language would be Affirmations words of affirmation because I do not like to assume How you feel about me And I think that as a result of just coming up not really being in a very vocal home where we said I love you often So now now that I've kind of built this community of people around me that you know that openly say that I like that You know what I need that from you. You know what I'm saying whether if it's a relationship What if it's a friendship tell me I'm valuable to you every now and again you ain't got a every day It's good sometimes you know It's fair to me. Yeah, it feels good. It feels good especially when it's genuine. Yeah, you know absolutely Some people say it's just a say but you can tell when it's real. Yeah, it's all in that tone. Mm-hmm. Definitely gifts.
0:10:06
Oh, yes.
0:10:07
You know what I'm saying? Who don't like a random whatever? No matter, chapstick, cookie, purse, whatever.
0:10:11
Anything, yes. Key chain, chocolate.
0:10:16
Oh, you thought about me.
0:10:17
Yeah.
0:10:18
Yeah, I like that too. Let me see, love language. I like to just spend time, spending time with someone doing something, whether it's cooking or we're taking a walk or we're you know having a session yes that is definitely a love language for me I think that when dating those things are kind of this
0:10:41
dating room you just be glad you ain't gotta the damn yeah horrible yeah it's overrated. It's overrated to me because a lot of times you don't meet. People think that because you're in a relationship you're supposed to be on the same level at all times and that's not how it goes. You have to compromise. You have to. It's going to be, nobody's perfect, so it's going to be something that person that you may not like, it's going to be something that that person may not like. And when you say you may not like we talk about you probably hate it I don't want to say the H word, but it's probably hate it. No, really, but this is It's people though. Yeah. Yeah, so I sometimes like to just know myself I'll learn me, you know, and I know me and I don't I don't talk back to me. I don't disrespect me And and I've learned to love me. So anybody that come through, you gonna have to come ready to love on me too. And what you give me is what I give you back in return. I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna, you're nice to me, I'm nice to you. You mean to me. I just don't want to deal with it. Like I said, I think, I think, I think, I think it's overrated.
0:11:58
Absolutely. Like I said, I wanted to put a pin into the hook thing because I have been thinking about this for the past couple days. I don't mind hook. I like hooking but sometimes my spirit be like yeah no you know I don't I don't know okay okay let me start there I don't know if this is something that stemmed from a situation that happened previously. I went in to hug somebody that I was expecting a nurturing, welcoming embrace, and I did not get that at all. They was stiff as a board.
0:12:36
Right?
0:12:37
That's happened to me before,
0:12:38
so I know what it feels like.
0:12:39
So experiencing that, and so now it's kind of like,
0:12:42
oh.
0:12:43
I just hug my regular people.
0:12:44
You know.
0:12:45
You know what I'm saying? Unless it's like initiated, it's kind of like, you know, yeah, how elbow, you know, but I think some people may take offense to that. And it is the elbow. Oh, baby, we you ain't got no choice.
0:13:05
Yeah.
0:13:06
If I first meet, I'm all about the fist bumping the elbow. And this is made my love video talking about I don't not, we don't need to shake hands and like get too close on each other. But I'm a hugger. That's the thing I'm a hugger. And that's happened to me. I've hugged somebody and the hug was just like why
0:13:27
did you even reach? Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Everybody fall back. Yeah. I don't.
0:13:35
Nobody. Abort mission. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah that was um like I said, it's something I've been kind of thinking about for the past couple days It's like okay. I don't want to have to feel like I'm forcing myself to hook people because if I don't Feel like it Shouldn't but yeah, I don't know it should be a natural thing
0:13:53
I mean, you know you see somebody and you have a song or whatever and they they come they're coming your way And you're going towards them the hook is already there before you even get to it like you should already be able to feel that hook if I see you and you don't seem like you coming any further I'm gonna leave you over there
0:14:12
mm-hmm finding something extra to do like you don't see yeah I just say hey girl hmm we're gonna digress from that okay okay so back to lifestyles. Are there any new lifestyle changes that you've made that you've worked on? How do you keep yourself in check?
0:14:35
Um, lately, like I said, due to the accident, I had to move around and do some different things. I'm more at home. I'm at home more. So I have I've learned to, to eat better. I don't really talk to people. I cut them short. Not cut them short, but just I really don't pick up the phone. And I don't know if I expected But sometimes you like you said, you know, you could just reach out to me and you know, see how I'm doing I don't get that so I don't do it. Oh wait a minute because I definitely read you always okay You always do hold up. No, you ain't you don't even have to defend that shit I know what about that you reach out to me all the time. What you doing? What we doing? You coming out? Yeah. But really it's people that you would really, you know, but I know everybody go through their things, but they all know I was in accident. They all know that my knee is bad. Do they reach out to me?
0:15:53
But when other corporations and businesses reach out to you and say, Hey, Miss Nikki, we'd like you to come. I'm on it. And they own it too. Like, Hey, let me. Yeah, that's usually how I go. You know, I met with a business coach here recently, and she put a lot of things on my mind to think about and consider when spending time. So when you're an entrepreneur, you know, in theory, it's like, Oh, I have all this time. But really, I feel like time goes way faster when you're not punching someone's clock, right? So you have to be very intentional with your time. And so we kind of went over what my usual schedule looks like. And there was one particular thing that I'm giving, you know, three, four hours of time, and it's not really a compensation, a monetary compensation, it's more of a like a fulfillment, like I feel good doing this task. And she was like, yeah, I'm gonna need for you to shrink this, okay? Instead of four hours, we're gonna give it a solid two, and you go and get out there and go figure out something. You know what I'm saying? So time management is definitely something that I've been very anal about. I've been intentional about making sure I put everything in my calendar. If anybody is watching this now. If you are a close friend or a friend that wants me to celebrate your birthday. Could you please shoot me a text or shoot a comment under this video when your birthday is. I promise you I will go through it and I will put it in my calendar. I'm so tired of feeling bad because you know I didn't put your birthday in my calendar and then now it's the day of and I'm like oh I don't have I don't even have time I can't even say oh I see you this weekend because I already made plans. But you're so good with birthdays. I really I truly try to be even if I can't give you anything I always at least my time you know so I want to be very intentional about that. So that's just a side note. But just Yeah, how am I spending my time? What am I getting back from that? Whether it's a, you know, when I'm editing these videos for my podcast, it's not an immediate return, you know, it's not a guarantee how many views is going to get this. There's a lot of passion that I'm putting in the fulfillment comes in the responses down the line, like, Oh, I love you. I love what you're doing this at the third and even when people reach out they want to be interviewed or you know I get you know these calls to host these events and stuff like that it comes in that form so just being mindful of that and trying to hold on to it because sometimes it you
0:18:15
know when I want that Birkenbein you know I mean you know and so I've learned. I've learned how to not be concerned about everybody so much like I used to be. I love everyone, but you know, give me, I get it back to me. And that's just bottom line. I'm just at that point in my life, you know, I'm just, it's like, if I don't reach out to you, then you don't reach out to me. But then the first thing you say is you don't call. It goes both ways. So and I'm okay. I'm not upset about it. I'm not. I don't feel lonely. I'm on my business. I stay in my lane. I think of more dances and I just do the same thing.
0:19:04
Deal with the
0:19:05
tic tac. Yes. Yes. And I still do the ones I can do that I'm able to do with my knee. Like I said, I'm very careful with my knee because I just want to fix but for the time being I can't just let myself go because I can I saw myself slipping into depression. Yeah I saw myself going there because I wasn't able to do anything and I was just having fun
0:19:27
right before the accident. Yeah and and see that's crucial so knowing yourself uh what you mentioned earlier when you are in the process of you know well I feel like you never finish knowing yourself because we're continually and constantly growing and evolving. So when you do know yourself, and you can you can kind of feel when you when that dark space is kind of trying to creep up on you, right? You know, be intentional. Okay, well, let me do something different. Because the routine that I'm doing now is leading me down here. Let's completely do a to my schedule and switch it up and see, you know, where this can take me. Yes. So I definitely start doing that. Child, I started doing them. Oh, you know, you too. They have the chance for like the chakras and stuff. OK, I'm I'm out there. I am trying. But it's it's for me. It's working. It feels a little silly when I start. I ain't gonna lie. lie y'all you know I'll be in my living room my living room um yeah yeah like that with the incense burning you know and your place is set up for it you know yeah that's it very psychedelic
0:20:38
yeah yeah very it's yes it's I love it it's very comfortable it's very you know so when you're in the sativa you don't feel like you're in a weird place at all it's a hand blizzard well now you
0:20:50
Now you know I had a shaman slash priest come on the show and he was talking about praying over your flower before you consume it. And then you know we mentioned, you know I'll play some clips back, but he had mentioned like doing a sound bowl to raise the vibration of the flower as it's being raised so that when we eventually, in theory, we would go to the dispensary and say, Hey, I need a flower for you know, inflammation, I need a flower for you know, I'm feeling kind of depressed. I'm feeling this. This is when I'm on the emotional level. Okay, they have a flower to Yeah. So until then, he was saying to pray over the flower before you consume it. I was like, Oh, yeah, we pray everything else, water, food, whatever. I thank him for it. I thank him for it. Seriously. I'm telling my friend, I'm not even going to lie. You know, I don't know if you've ever experienced it, but smoking before going to church. Yeah. It's quite the experience.
0:21:50
I'm going to do it anyway.
0:21:51
Yeah.
0:21:52
You're going to be like, God knows what you're doing. Who are you hiding it from?
0:21:55
It's really nothing to be ashamed of. Smoking before meditation. It's just a different experience. It's a tree. It comes from the ground.
0:22:09
They smoke a cigarette before they go to church. You got some people take a sip and go to church.
0:22:19
Okay. I just thought I'd share that. Yeah, you took us to the left. But that's fine. That is true. But, so yeah, that was, that's quite the experience. I'm just saying if anybody out there, if you ever thought about it.
0:22:33
Yeah, I've done it.
0:22:35
And afterwards, you know, I was ready for the rest of it. That was in the past.
0:22:41
You're really ready for the food. I'm hoping that they cook in church.
0:22:45
I'm trying to tell you.
0:22:46
I'm trying to tell you.
0:22:48
It's communion today.
0:22:50
Yes.
0:22:51
Can I get a little extra crackers?
0:22:53
I need a little grape juice.
0:22:54
Give me one more.
0:22:55
Yes. Oh, my gosh.
0:22:57
OK.
0:22:58
All right. We didn't we didn't went all across the board. Was there anything that you wanted to tap on? You have anything coming up? Yes. Actually, I am going to.
0:23:09
Punta Cana. Okay. In August of 2024. To do a performance. Whoa. Yes, yes, I was invited to go and, and, you know, everybody's invited. If you want to go in and sign up, I do have the information for you. And we're gonna we're gonna have a good time. Now they say it's Look, I gotta pull up a map. Puta Cona. Puta Cona. That's in Mexico? That's what they said. Something like that. Uh-uh. I thought it was in the Dominican Republic. That's what I think. Yeah, I was like, that doesn't feel right. Oh, goodness, because my client told me she's talking about some Mexico.
0:23:34
No.
0:23:35
Oh, I'm so glad.
0:23:36
Okay, so y'all, look, come on through.
0:23:37
Come through. Yeah, but I heard Puta Cona, they have like a lot of good deals as far as being all-inclusive
0:23:39
and all that.
0:23:40
Yes.
0:23:41
This is not a plug to Puta Cona, because they did not pay for a subscription on this show.
0:23:42
Okay, so they're not paying for a subscription.
0:23:43
No, they're not.
0:23:44
They're not.
0:23:45
They're not.
0:23:46
They're not.
0:23:47
They're not.
0:23:48
They're not. They're not.
0:23:50
Yes, it's not a plug to put the counter because they did not pay for a subscription on this show. Okay. Yeah, that's right Okay, I'm just saying that's where I'm yeah, okay miss Nikki gonna beat up. Okay, so we gonna leave it third Oh, well, congratulations
0:24:05
One to rule but my first time cruising for a day so me and my daughter my granddaughter She'll be six so that'll be her birthday gift. So we're going to September to a group of eight days. We're going to be sailing for eight days.
0:24:30
Mmm, bless you. I did like a weekend cruise and that was three nights and four days. Baby, we was ready to get off. Now we had the time of our lives. It was a lot of fun, but it was also during hurricane season. Oh, okay. It was from, to the Bahamas, from Miami to the Bahamas. Okay. And when I tell you that boat was rocking. We was in the club, the last night we was in the club on the boat and everybody in the club like shifted okay what to the one of the year was it was October yeah yeah yeah it's hurricane season starts I want to say beginning of August on that yeah over there I don't know I'm just saying I'm about to be on
0:25:13
Obama rock the boat anyway when I'm dancing. Y'all gonna rock it too? I'm not gonna do both.
0:25:18
It was a horrible experience. I will never, I will always be mindful of when I do it now and seeing when is hurricane season and which body of water that I'm going in because that was scary. I really thought that it was over and I was just drinking to just so it can be quick. Oh wow. I'm being serious. You was on a nice big phone. Yeah, yeah. And it was rocking back and forth, back and forth. It had been rocking, but this one that last night, it was, like I said, everybody in the club just, some people falling on the ground, shifted. We smacking the wall, and I was like, oh, this is it.
0:25:54
Okay, see. This is the Titanic. Yeah, I'm about to get my money back. I'm not going. Change my mind. Wait, just see, just see. I'm not gonna do that one. I'm gonna do this my first cruise too. And I'm gonna be gone for eight days. That's cruising in hurricane season. We'll just I
0:26:16
don't know. That's a lot. That is a lot of days. Okay, well, so we got some things to sort out and we'll get the update. Yeah.
