Unknown Speaker 0:02
Hello and welcome everyone. It's so good to be on this microphone. So good to be here. Of course you know my name is Angie t and this is a Teva talk podcast where we talk everything in cannabis lifestyle and entrepreneurship. Now, as I do this intro, this is this is my first official episode. I'm so excited to be here. And it took me a while to figure out who should I bring on from my first episode, right? I wanted this episode to show who I am on every aspect and just kind of let it be natural. Let me let me hold your hand through this because it's gonna be a wild ride. So who else should I bring in? Other than my tic tock, mom? Okay, Miss Nikki, how you feeling?

Unknown Speaker 0:43
I'm feeling wonderful. Yes. Wonderful.

Unknown Speaker 0:46
Thank you for being here.

Unknown Speaker 0:47
No problem anytime you like you'd like to talk about Absolutely.

Unknown Speaker 0:53
Yes, no. Okay, keep going. Yeah, okay, we don't we don't get into that. But I do want to thank my sponsors, as well, the biz West for sponsoring this show for believing in me. So, without further ado, we're gonna go ahead and kick this thing off. So I do want to talk to you miss Nikki, about the all the social media, the entrepreneurship side. But before I do, I gotta go ahead and talk about while we here, okay, cannabis, it's been a while, I do want to take a moment to acknowledge the winners from the consumption lounge, the people who are able to have a consumption lounge here in Las Vegas. Now, as you do know, some of the dispensaries have already got a head start. Okay. And so now the small business owners, small businesses are now able to pick a location and get that process started. It's kind of it's kind of a dog eat dog world now. Okay, so what happens is once the consumption lounges, they've made their selection. If you go and try to rent a place right now, and you tell them what this is for your rent can go from 3500 to 15,000. Whoa, that easy. Wow. And there's nothing anyone that did this gonna do to kind of protect you for there's no law created to protect you from something like that. Oh, wow. And so you know, these these people who were selected, you know, it's kind of an uphill battle. So it's definitely got the team up, definitely had to pull out some resources and get that kind of thing done. But it's not impossible, just very, very hard.

Unknown Speaker 2:19
Well, sounds like,

Unknown Speaker 2:21
you know, I'm saying it's gonna be it's gonna be a lot of money with these dispensaries. You know, they, you know, some people can, like came in and talked in, you know, they went through millions of dollars before they seen $1. Right. So, definitely gotta keep an eye out for that. And one of the most controversial issues within the Vegas cannabis industry is taxes that will be going up. Now, I am interested to hear about this. Now. I'm going to break this down. Let me back it up a second. So Table Talk podcast is for the average smoker. It's for the people who don't smoke at all people who are kind of curious, not really curious. So I like to break things down and talk to you guys about it. So for, for the taxes. A lot of growers are having some issues because what happens is they have to pay a what they call fair market value. So what happens is they take the average of what a pound sales for Okay? And you have to pay the taxes on that tax on that amount. So regardless, if you sold your cannabis for, let's say, you sold it for $1,000 a pound, but the fair market value is 2600 You have to pay taxes on it 2600. So what happens is when you're vertically integrated, which means that you have a grow and you have a dispensary, which means you can just grow it and sell it don't have to go through and go through, you know, the whole sale process. You can say, oh, yeah, so that's so myself, you know, I sold it for 3600 a payout versus someone who you know, a borrower who does not have a dispensary, they actually are selling it for you know, I'm saying $900 A pound but they still have to pay the tax on that. And it's just one of the taxes that they have to pay. So I'm one of y'all in the barn and a lot of money. You think you burn in cannabis, but your money is like fireworks, you know what I'm saying? That's why I like to just Pete, what's going on? And I tell you all about it, and I just keep it moving? I see my spot. That's right. One last thing I do want to mention in regards to cannabis is a new bill will be prefilled in Washington State. Now this week represents the last efforts to expand the US cannabis markets across state lines. So as you know, you know, anything that's grown in Nevada has to stay in Nevada, which once again is a dog eat dog world so there's a lot of buddy buddy systems, there's a lot of people who do not you know, if you rub them the wrong way or you know the purchaser if they don't really like you, they don't have to buy your cannabis and there's nothing you can do about it. You have to stay within the lines of Nevada. And let's just face it, you know, Las Vegas is the tourist capital. So if you if you can't make it here, it's gonna be a struggle trying to go up to

Unknown Speaker 4:51
anywhere else so

Unknown Speaker 4:52
so I'm I think this is a good thing. Now the argument is that the cross border trade will increase production of far have businesses in producer state to allow the speed and launch of markets in newly legal consumer states which can sometimes take two years to get up. So let's say my hometown Kentucky if they just now decide to make cannabis legal, but you know, since it's been legal in, you know, California Las Vegas, we can flood their market. And you know, I'm saying steal our cannabis there while they're still trying to get set up because they just became legal right? So they can kind of get in the way. But listen, it's been a Doggy Dog girl. So hey, you know what I'm saying? Maybe put a timeframe on when maybe the first year that it's legal in the state. They can't do cross state. You know, I'm saying I'm not even though cannabis being grown in Kentucky. I don't know what you heard. Okay, we get that good. So, anyway, but I do think some people would like to taste some Las Vegas cannabis. Absolutely. If you just put the word Las Vegas on there, that a sale. Okay. That's what works for us. Okay. So, okay, my rants over with the cannabis. Information, you know, saying that that's what I like to do. I like to get you what you need. You don't have to wait. Yes. Alright. So we wanted to talk about lifestyle. And so this one I felt was very interesting. Friendship Breakups. Have you ever experienced something like that before?

Unknown Speaker 6:21
Absolutely. Hey, Tony hurt. Don't hurt it make you mad. It makes

Unknown Speaker 6:27
my feelings was hurt. I didn't know how to process because it was feeling like a breakup. So you kind of tell yourself like, relax, like that was not your man. But

Unknown Speaker 6:36
it can be hurtful. But then, to me, it turned into anger. Because when you think about it, I know I didn't do anything wrong. And if I did, I felt like we were friends. You should address me with that instead of us ended on bad terms.

Unknown Speaker 6:49
Heard that? Well, this is a couple of tips and tricks if what you need to I mean, if you need to have a friendship breakup, right. Number one, do you get excited when you see them?

Unknown Speaker 7:01
No. Well, sorry, not now. I'm sorry.

Unknown Speaker 7:09
Not today. This is like if you think you're on the verge of a friendship. These are the signs that maybe it's time to get on in. Yeah, to break down and block.

Unknown Speaker 7:20
So when you see him do you get excited? Yes. You say you're

Unknown Speaker 7:24
no matter when you decide your unlacquered when you woke up?

Unknown Speaker 7:28
It's a no for me.

Unknown Speaker 7:31
Sometimes when you see people it can feel exhausting. Like oh my gosh, I hope she ain't got no sad okay.

Unknown Speaker 7:36
Yes. No, no, no, that part. Yes. That type of Yes.

Unknown Speaker 7:40
Okay. Do you feel enriched after you see them? So even if you are excited when you see them after they leave? Do you feel like they've drained you? Do you feel like your cup has been poured out? And you didn't ask for it?

Unknown Speaker 7:51
I feel like they drain me. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 7:54
But do you have friends right now or people around right now that you feel like you know when after interaction sometimes because it doesn't have to be all the time sometimes when you leave? They leave you during?

Unknown Speaker 8:05
Yes, ma'am. Yeah, right now. Okay. Okay, let me go. You You're good. You're safe.

Unknown Speaker 8:15
Oh my gosh. Do you share the same values that I think this is a this is something that kind of fluctuates in life. Because as you grow and mature and learn things, you definitely your values do change. But I guess I got some friends on the other side of tracks like we don't share the same goals and aspirations but

Unknown Speaker 8:36
you know what, some type of friends Yes, I we do have a lot in common. We do have a lot in common. And those that are don't have a lot in common with. I really don't consider them my friends.

Unknown Speaker 8:47
Okay, so what do you what? Where do you use for instead of friend associates? Do you say

Unknown Speaker 8:53
I say sis? You are my sister. You're my sister. You're Jesus. You're my friend. Oh, no. If you're my sister, then you're my friend. But you see this is I was so girl. Really? Yes. And I mean, because this that this is I grew up with. I mean, that's I mean you associated with them, but that'll make them my friends.

Unknown Speaker 9:17
But it's the word sis for me. I'd be uncomfortable.

Unknown Speaker 9:22
What's up, sis? Yeah, I'm saying it's sassy to me. Okay, you know, But sister, you my friend. Okay. Yeah.

Unknown Speaker 9:31
With it. Okay. Yeah, what are interesting. I would love to hear you guys perspective on it because me sis is like saying baby to my you know, somebody that I'm dating, right? That's how I feel. It's kind of like we are ya know what I'm saying? Yes. I don't know.

Unknown Speaker 9:47
Other than friend. I don't want to call my buddy friend. If I'm doing I'm a friend.

Unknown Speaker 9:52
I'm not. It's gonna be very uncomfortable. Both of us for a second.

Unknown Speaker 9:58
Yeah, I just mentioned I mean difference. No, that's not true.

Unknown Speaker 10:02
True enough. All right, is this a two way street so your friendship, that means each person is putting in equal amounts of effort. Now, just like a regular relationship, sometimes you're gonna have to pour a little bit more into your friend, if you see that they struggling with something and getting through something, but for the most part, it should be fairly balanced.

Unknown Speaker 10:19
Yes, I agree. I agree. You know, you both have a clearer understanding of what's going on. So that that's, that's true friendship. When you can feel that person if they're not feeling well or they're having a bad day and something Have you call them and you get on a call and all of a sudden is not the set, you should be in your friend, you should know that. You go to her house and his dirty and you know, she keeps it clean. You know, a friend will notice

Unknown Speaker 10:45
and, you know, we we can joke like oh, so, party it was what's going

Unknown Speaker 10:52
on with you doing? What you've endorsed gaggle. Oh,

Unknown Speaker 10:56
do they support your growth? Now, for me, this is something that had to I had to learn the hard way, you know, because when I started to grow, I was like, Oh, you're you're different. You change and not the same. And then you try to little for me, I tried to like okay, well, what what did that change? Like? I didn't, but it's just like, Oh, okay. You want me to stay the same? That's how that translates to me like, Oh, you want me to be young and reckless?

Unknown Speaker 11:23
Well, yeah, you didn't expect me to grow. When that happens. You can feel it. I feel it. I feel it when somebody don't don't want my good. I can feel the cloud chasers. By the times you have friends that just want to be around you because they're chasing clout. Nice attention that you get, they feel like you know, because they're your friend. They can get the same attention but it don't go that way. Miss Nikki's Miss Nikki at the end of the day.

Unknown Speaker 11:55
And you know what, this is an interesting one. Do they respect your circle? Last but not least as we mature and crew, right, our friend group we should find that we could we should be able to bring everyone to the same place for our birthdays and or weddings and they can get along?

Unknown Speaker 12:12
Yes. The people that I deal with they definitely. That's the only way they can roll Miss Nikki. Because I don't do the drama. If I know that soon as you see somebody and they roll it out and look at you and you ready to fight? I don't want I'm not going to invite you. Because I know what type of person you are. So you are you are considered SIS to me. Stay home. Okay.

Unknown Speaker 12:37
We will have to find another word for okay. This is equivalent to associate Yes. In your book. Yes. Okay. Got it. All right. All right. So you were kind of talking about slot into the entrepreneurial entrepreneurial side. Now Miss Nikki, you've known around Las Vegas for of course your dance. Okay. knew the energy that radiates off you when you're in your zone. It attracts a lot of people. Yes. So you get a lot of people and you know what these friendships and you have these levels and whatnot. But um, so kinda let's let's talk about that. How has it evolved? It started from you dancing, having classes. So now your Tiktok phenomenon?

Unknown Speaker 13:21
Yes, yes. It started for me when over 350 pounds. And I started dancing because I've always danced, but I had my children and for some reason I got lazy skip. I ended up teaching class because I wanted to find something that I enjoy doing. Started dance classes and the waist are coming off falling off. So since then, I lost like 140 pounds on my dances. And during the pandemic, I did a video and it went viral. And Texas 26. Fox 26 Will Ruben Ruben Dominguez, he, he gave me an interview on Zoom. And I told him a couple of moves. And from there I've just blossom. The I had to eliminate some people away from me along the way. Yes, I had to because they didn't want what I what I what I what I worked so hard for I'm teaching a class and you're judging the people which one What are we doing? Or that you know, so? But yeah, being you know, like as of now I'm over like 12 million viewers right now. On Facebook, I'm doing Tik Tok and Instagram and I'll be moving over to YouTube also. But I will say it is very difficult. Being influencer slash dancer on social media is very, very important way. Social media is the biggest bully in the world, because they're behind a screen. But they say the meanest things I did just did a video that that is probably like almost 500k right now and I just released it two days ago, and I was showing them how proud I am of myself. I have my back not flapping over the you know flap that is soft. You see that? Right? You see how smooth and solid Wait You said it's just like my solid? Yeah, yeah and so that you know and I put on my I always put my age because people be surprised. But then you have people on there so you look every bit of 53 Well she looks 63 Well, you look you like they call me all kinds of names. They talked about me so bad and the video is steady going up is going up. I've made some pretty good money off this one video that everybody talks so bad, but they will make you want to just stop everything. It hurts your feelings. In the beginning I didn't know how to react to it. But then I had to realize you guys are keeping me fake because everyone you we share my video and you talk about me then guess what you made people want to know who it was Miss Nikki, who are you talking about? So once they get on my page, they follow me so since what the other day I've gained what? 4000 followers? Wow, in two days? Yeah, so thank you. I heard that keep talking about that. That pays me to

Unknown Speaker 16:03
see a lot of times when when especially with social media, depending on how you came up you know when somebody get the talk and then miss you know, I'm set up ready to come with it. But maybe I came okay fine. 3000 God is gonna have to go figure it out. Like you say keep sharing, and

Unknown Speaker 16:20
we're gonna followers protect me. My followers, my supporters. They go in, they go in they don't waste no time. They think Tim and min Hey, watch it. You talking to miss Nikki? We don't do that. You know? Yeah, people that don't even know me. They're still defending me. Like, why would you say that? You know, they just be mean for no reason. They're mean for no reason.

Unknown Speaker 16:40
Yeah. Well, you know, I definitely have to commend you. I remember when social media was as far as kicking out the the reels that bonus plays, I'm telling you to promote and you hit me up like we got to do what we got to do it. You don't I'm saying it's you. You took Oh, he was like, Okay, well, he I see you when you come but I remember to press record, and you're doing it. And it inspires me and keeps keeps my ball rolling like okay, come on. Let's do it. Good that we will be rehearsing Oh. We need to release some of the behind the scenes. Footage. Because,

Unknown Speaker 17:16
honey, yay. It's been a time. Mind you, the videos are only a minute. We have a little sativa. And they seem to last about an hour of rehearsal for a minute, one minute 60 seconds of a dance. But we get it together because they all go viral. You know

Unknown Speaker 17:38
what I'm saying? It they never know that sometimes her family don't get dinner because we're ticketed back in. Okay. The dedication that it takes. I'm just saying this is real.

Unknown Speaker 17:54
But it was a lot of fun. Yeah, it's a lot, a lot of fun. And there you go. Right there. Once you get once you see the dollars and you say, Hey, okay, this is every bit of work that I mean, I really work hard. I really I know what I want. I know what what I'm worth. And those who can ride on on the boat, you know, they can just hop on, you know?

Unknown Speaker 18:16
So how was it? As far as you know, you you're very proud of your age, like you say you put it in all of your videos. What would you say to someone that's 50 Plus, who is debating on getting involved with tick tock like, what was that self talk that you have with yourself first before you put it out in the world.

Unknown Speaker 18:34
You naked no younger, you want to move around, I'd rather move around and do something I enjoy. Need to move around and be you know, barely walking through the house. I have a bad knee. Nobody would know that. But I have a bad knee but it's gonna hurt anyway. You know, so I just encouraged myself to, to get up and just do it just go because either that or you're gonna get stiff leg stiffness, baby don't go nowhere. Okay, so each and every day I get up I take about 510 minutes before I even think about going to the restaurant because you know, your body gets really, really stiff when you get older. And especially when you dance a lot, you know, you move you're active. Just move around, keep it going. You know, I think a lot of people say I've really encouraged him to get up and dance at 50 Plus, you know, yeah, I've encouraged him to to not only that, you know but to love themselves course you're not just really revealed having alopecia. And I know a lot of women are just sending me pictures with with the hair cut off, shaved off and you know, I've inspired a lot of people so I have to say keep going you know, that's all I can that's all I can promise myself like, you got this. You know, I talked to myself and say hey, you got this girl, make this happen and we'll make it do what to do and so far so good.

Unknown Speaker 19:53
Notice right be inspired. So we were kind of talking about tick tock and social media. Now this is the TV talk. Okay, so I'm gonna tell you my struggles of because it has been a ban as far as cannabis being able to be talked about on social media. So I have to be very careful on the word choices that are used when I post on Tik Tok because it will be taken down. Tick, I mean, Instagram not so much. And what's interesting is Google just actually they in the CBD and hemp out of advertising bands, so not necessarily THC. But if you have CBD and or hemp, they now are allowing advertisement, which speaks to opportunity. This is the entrepreneurial segment. So of course, I'm gonna, I'm gonna try to give it to you legit, you know. So if you guys are in the business of creating commercial like and you know, with the social media age now, it doesn't have to be your Lay's chip commercial format. You know what I'm saying? If you create some, some good material, consistent materials, some of these brands will definitely reach out to you to create some of that for them. And especially now that it's allowed of via Google, you'll get more exposure that way. So I'm, this is I'm ready for this. Okay. I'm ready for the band to be released. Because let us be great.

Unknown Speaker 21:16
Yes. Why not? I mean, hey, come on. It's better than it's better than prescription medicine. I'm trying to tell you just from the trees from the ground. Yes, that's natural. That's natural herbs. What's going on? Let us live Yeah, naturally. Can we live naturally? Because I believe if they don't say keep concertina keep me going. Like, my knee is messed up. You know, you know, I get what Mystique they have a nice, long, tall,

Unknown Speaker 21:44
you know, okay, so let me break this down. Once again, I want to be transparent for those who experience and unexperienced and just curious, I just want to know. So you know, they separate cannabis into three categories is sativa, indica and hybrid. So Teva is going to be the what they call the upper. So for me, sativa helps. keep me going. You know what I'm saying? If I have some errands to run some meetings to call and I just need to get a little bit of it. Just a little bit of a smooth edge out. Right. Perfect. Yes. Ms. Nagy Chi Gong farmer on Tiktok. I've tried to tell you

Unknown Speaker 22:18
I have a very bad knee. I have a bad knee. Yeah, you get

Unknown Speaker 22:21
a body relaxation, and, you know, still have that mental focus. Yes. So indica, they call it in the couch. Now,

Unknown Speaker 22:30
even while you're at it, I'm sorry, the whole frigerator

Unknown Speaker 22:33
that one can help with sleep. It can help with insomnia. It can help with appetite, different body paints, so they have it and we're going to talk about the terpenes I don't want to flood you. But when I use these words, I don't want to speak over you. So different terpenes are going to be in the cannabis. So Mersing that is the terpene that has that that's going to be in the indica that's going to have you relaxed, okay. In in just chilling out. What couple snacks. Oh, and a hybrid is a mix of the two. So hybrid is going to be dominant in sativa or indica. So you can get a hybrid that's dominant in sativa, which means you can be a little bit more laid back to normal, but not too much not to handle your business and pick the kids up from school.

Unknown Speaker 23:16
Okay, gotcha. I'm Sam. So I just do the first one,

Unknown Speaker 23:19
the sativa and just keep it Yeah, if I

Unknown Speaker 23:23
want to go to sleep, hungry, you know, I go around the corner.

Unknown Speaker 23:27
That's the one where you roll over and you got this slobber going down like Oh,

Unknown Speaker 23:31
I gotta wake up and forgot where you were like

Unknown Speaker 23:35
I'm not I wasn't a man. I'm on the couch. Yeah. Alright, so before we end I definitely want to have this blunt conversation with you. So we kind of went over what you like but I'm gonna ask sativa or indica? sativa Do you like

Unknown Speaker 23:55
tapers or reps? Reps? bowl? Oh, yeah. Sometimes really? Oils

Unknown Speaker 24:07
a little bit a little bit of oil oils are

Unknown Speaker 24:09
actually pretty cool because I use them for you know if I have any cramps or my body

Unknown Speaker 24:17
is true. Okay, so that's what the oils are for. Yeah, okay, good. It's because I remember I remember being in lotion and stuff like that. So I didn't know if that's what that was. Yeah, okay, got you. Yeah. Oh, is it me? Yeah, I've done it with the with the with the cranes before? Yes. I mean, I

Unknown Speaker 24:34
keep a look a little something look crazy.

Unknown Speaker 24:40
But I'll pull everything out.

Unknown Speaker 24:42
Let me find out. If I ever come over your house and this little boy

Unknown Speaker 24:51
you're less than half my age. Trust me. I'm a bit at this. You

Unknown Speaker 24:54
probably don't Been there done that. So before we go, I want to know about one of your craziest or Weirdest experiences,

Unknown Speaker 25:00
wanted to crazies. Where does his parents or maybe

Unknown Speaker 25:04
he just did a little too much, but it was too late and he was already somewhere.

Unknown Speaker 25:08
Yeah. I had a moment where my friends would get together and we were smoking a parking lot. And then we'll go and we'll eat where he right we would go to places we go into. And then we will soon as we have box, we will go, you know, we eat our food. And we have a box and somebody was shooting. And I told him to roll the window up. For protection. Yeah, you're shooting at a roll window. So we laugh so hard. And on top of that, I've shoot all over myself. I couldn't get it together. We were laughing so hard because they were like, What difference is the window? This is not bulletproof here.

Unknown Speaker 25:55
I use so suitable and

Unknown Speaker 25:57
I took my pants off. I was yeah, I took my pants off. And not to my side. You know, you just drove home, I would have kept I would have kept calling Earl because my stomach is weak. Anyway, the smell would have threw me off. So I ended up taking my pants off and throwing them outside. Oh, yeah, that's on a roll went up. And I was serious. But the building wasn't going to travel through the window. Oh, boy.

Unknown Speaker 26:22
Well, um,

Unknown Speaker 26:25
I would say for me. That's why I do not really like edibles. Okay, because it takes about 3040 minutes at a minimum for them to start working. And sometimes they don't stop working for about 2448 hours. Yeah. And and that's just a horrible trip. You cry when you wake up and you're

Unknown Speaker 26:48
nervous, your heartbeat beating fast. I made a lot of things go on with the edibles? Yes, yes,

Unknown Speaker 26:53
yes. Yes, I'm gonna be careful about that. But we're gonna talk about all these things break down how to, you know, with what they say, Yeah, let's say, you know, I

Unknown Speaker 27:04
had a bad experience with brownies. You know, my sister made a whole pant. And I ate all the edges of the brownies. And that's what a butter is around. It was the butter she could. And I mean, I ate every bow but that's when I was 300 some pounds. And I had a client is shooting to the outer door here typically about four or five hours she I was stuck.

Unknown Speaker 27:23
I had disappeared. I was gone. I remember I was at your house for about four or five hours. We're gonna talk about that offer here. Well, you definitely have to be careful. You know, I know people feel like that they can make it is it's not hard to make. However, it's very dangerous to consume blindly. Because first of all, you do not know of each piece how much it has, just because you poured it in the batter and pour it does not mean that it was evenly distributed. So even though one may have five milliliters, the other one may have 25 milliliters, you have no way of knowing and giving it to people who've never experienced anything like that before is extremely dangerous. So it sounds fun. looks cool, but just leave it to the pros. Okay, somebody you know, just find a deal and stick with

Unknown Speaker 28:09
it. Yes, some people do it. They do

Unknown Speaker 28:11
because they want to have extra fun. And don't don't sneak it people either. That ain't no no, no. Okay. All right, we can I can just keep going down. Oh,

Unknown Speaker 28:22
we're gonna wrap this thing up. Once again, I do want to give my appreciation to my sponsor. That's the biggest West here in Las Vegas. Thank you so much for bringing ADT back to the airwaves. I appreciate my listeners everybody tuning in for the first time hope to see you guys next week.
